I am a Northampton native who started in the Real Estate Industry in 1985. I am a product of the Northampton public schools. I am a Northampton taxpayer, landlord and co-founder of HARP, The Hampshire Association of Rental Properties.
My office is located at 44 State Street, just off Main Street and across from the State Street Fruit Store.
Sellers-Pricing homes to sell in a reasonable time period is my strength. With an appraisal background, you can be assured that your home will be priced appropriately to current market conditions. I will work hard to market your property and find a qualified buyer.
Buyers-My appraisal background will benefit you as well. When you choose to work with me as your exclusive Buyer’s Broker, you can be assured that you won’t pay too much for the home of your dreams. I will work tirelessly to find you the property that best suits your needs.
Appraisal-People need real estate appraisals for a variety of reasons, refinancing a mortgage, settling an estate or divorce, determining market value for gifting purposes or just curious of the current market value. PMI, also known as Private Mortgage Insurance, is charged by your lender on any mortgage that is less than 80% of the value of the property. This charge can be eliminated by submitting a current appraisal of your home that demonstrates that you have more than 20% equity in the property. This can save you thousands in the long run.
I have been doing real estate appraisals since 1985, having earned the SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser) designation of the Appraisal Institute in 1989. I served as president of the Western Massachusetts Appraisal Institute from 1995 to 1996. I would be happy to help you.
I believe in being educated and have earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and SRS (Seller Representative Specialist) designations. I will continue to attend educational offerings to be the best real estate agent that I can be.
